Who We Are

As a congregation, South Seminole has a clear vision and a set of core beliefs and practices that drive and remind our church family who we are and what the Lord is calling and leading us to be.

Vision

To glorify God through the fulfillment of the Great Commission.

The Great Commission compels Christ followers to bring people to Jesus and faithful membership in his family, grow them to Christlike maturity, and equip them for their ministry in the church and life mission in the world; all to make much of the glory of God in this life.

Mission

To help people explore God and to become a unified community of growing, multiplying, Christ followers.

Jesus never saw church as a place to attend, but as a people who love Him and who are learning to love others. At South Seminole, no matter your past, your spiritual background, or where you are now, we want you to come as you are- honest questions, crippling doubts, fears, skepticism, whatever- bring it! We want you to connect with us in community and take your next steps toward becoming who you were created to be.

Core Beliefs

As a church family we exist to make much of God's glory by making disciples who not only live out the Gospel, but who are ready and able to share the good news of grace and hope through Jesus Christ to our community and beyond.  

By doing so, we will not only impact this generation, but we will also lay foundations for future generations to come. 

Christ came to offer grace and forgiveness for sin, as well as to offer hope and help for struggles we all face in this life. 

The Church is the body of Christ called to fulfill the will of God, the Father in this world. Therefore, our church family desires to be a people who have experienced His grace and forgiveness every day- and offer the same to everyone we encounter. 

As a place of hope, the church serves best as a hospital for sinners rather than a club for saints. Our desire is to set the captives free and be a beacon of light for West Texas and beyond, leading the way to Jesus Christ in whom this grace and hope is found.
